There is very little
that you need to do beforehand, however, please continue
reading!

sure you have registered your place on the course and that
you have received our confirmation. If you’ve not yet
registered go to our
seminar
registration system to
confirm your booking.
If you have any
questions, please send an email to michaelbeale@ppimk.com or
call +44 (0)1908 506563 and leave a message, we’ll get back

Please also note
that meals and overnight accommodation are NOT included in
the seminar fees. However we DO provide lunch and unlimited
tea and coffee.
Our aim is always to
create an environment where you can have an enjoyable time
and learn as an active participant. To help you get
the most out of your time, please consider the following:
Dress Code
There is no formal
dress code for our seminars. Dress comfortably.
Preparation
Treat the
seminar as the beginning of an adventure, come to have fun,
to learn and explore. You may choose to read one or
two
NLP books
or listen to some
NLP CD or
DVDs,
but that's NOT
necessary.
It is more important
that you come with an open attitude and watch and listen in
order to make up your own mind. We will recommend
books for further reading later if you wish.
Start and finish times
There is an informal
get together on the Friday evening at the hotel before the
real “fun” begins on the Saturday morning. The Friday get
together starts at 8.00pm for a couple of hours. It is
optional and may not be feasible for those travelling any
distance so it’s up to you if you can make it.
On the Saturday and
Sunday mornings we will start at 09.30 and ask that you
arrive no later than 09.00 so you are not rushed.
Finish times vary
but usually at around 5pm. We will give time for those
that are interested to stay and ask questions or watch some
relevant NLP videos.
If for travel
reasons you need to leave early on the Sunday please let us
know well in advance.
Manuals
The course is
interactive and much of your learning will come from
discussion and through the practice exercises.
However we will
provide some materials in hard copy for you to keep in a
ring binder. If you are a note taking person we suggest you
add your notes into the ring binder and build your reference
materials in the way that suits your personal learning
needs.
Please hold on to
the manual! It is a very useful reminder of your training
and contains information you will find useful when you
decide to continue your NLP studies to the next level.
Trust the Process
The content of the seminars
has been modeled from exceptional achievers and
communicators. Trust the process. The key capabilities
you will need to focus on are:
·
To set well-formed and considered outcomes
·
To consistently demonstrate behavioural flexibility
·
To notice and adapt to the results you achieve
Everyone is
different and we strongly recommend that you play with all
of the exercises that we offer, but letting us know if
something really doesn't feel right.
Learning Style
In general our approach is to discuss,
demonstrate and put in business context NLP tools and
techniques. You then have the opportunity to do an exercise,
evaluate the result, and then give feedback. We are
interested in how
things work and
what works
rather than why
things work.
This can be a real
challenge to delegates with a 'theoretical' learning style -
we ask you to stay with us. We are most interested in
helping you get the exercises into the muscle memory,
because this will enable you to do things in practice, after
the seminar has ended.
Feeling uncomfortable
You may at times
feel uncomfortable and/or confused. This is part of
the learning process, but it’s how you react to the states
of discomfort and confusion that's important. It’s one
of our goals to ensure that you leave in a positive state,
so let us know if we’re not on track.
Some of our best NLP
practitioners felt a bit confused at the end of the
foundation seminar, but still chose to continue to other
modules, and gained out of the experience because of it.
Sometimes you need to 'unlearn' what you've been taught
before in order to benefit from the new training.
In the end it’s what
works for you that is most important.
Networking
After completion of
the Diploma we will invite you to join our group on
LinkedIn. This will enable you to keep in contact with
others in your group as well as many other business people
who have incorporated and appreciate the benefits of NLP
techniques in business communication skills.
Want help?
We're friendly and
approachable; were here to help, so please just ask!
Feedback
We are open to feedback so please be
free to give it. In the unlikely event you're
over-challenged or unhappy for any reason during the course
let us know immediately, please do
not
wait until the end!
After any seminar has finished
we will send you a course feedback form to get your overall
opinion of all that was covered.Final
